You see, there are 3,500 calories in 1lb of fat. That means in order to lose just 1lb; you must be in a caloric deficit of 3,500 calories. And that’s just 1lb of fat!

NUTRITION LESSON 101: Insulin is known as the “storage” hormone, and it’s responsible for storing the food that you eat as fat. Control insulin and you’ll stop fat storage.
So if you’ve ever eaten a large breakfast and then felt sluggish, tired, and mentally groggy, now you know why.
Numerous studies have shown that fasting for up to 48 hours doesn’t impact mental alertness.
So you simply don’t need a big breakfast to “start the day off right” – unless of course you stand to make a lot of money like the cereal company executives do, in which case you’d want EVERYONE to eat a BIG bowl of your cereal every morning.

You’ve gotta realize something…most of these breakfast myths have been brought on by the trillion dollar food industry.
Cereal companies have done a tremendous job in advertising that breakfast is so important with the goal solely being on selling more products – which is after all why they’re in business.
For years you’ve been programmed to believe how eating every 2-3 hours helps boost your metabolism and allows you to stay out of starvation mode. The notion that you must eat 6-8 small snacks/meals a day for optimal fat loss is RIDICULOUS and UNPROVEN.
There have been a multitude of studies that dispel this common myth. One of the more recent studies evaluating 3 vs. 6 meals, came from the British Journal of Nutrition, This study compared numerous variables with 3 vs. 6 meals per day, and found that increasing meal frequency has NO effect on weight loss. Here’s an excerpt from the study:
“There were no significant differences between the low- and high-meal frequency groups for adiposity indices, appetite measurements or gut peptides (peptide YY and ghrelin) either before or after the intervention. We conclude that increasing meal frequency does not promote greater body weight loss under the conditions described in the present study.”
Another research study from the University of Colorado found that increasing meal frequency from three to six per day had no significant effect on metabolic rate or the amount of fat burned over a 24 hour period, and it actually increased hunger and desire to eat.
You have enough stress in your life. The last thing you need is to pile on more stress because you must prepare and eat every 2-3 hours. Rest assure the Big Dinner Diet is a stress free lifestyle plan that strategically avoids snacking to help your body burn more fat than ever before.

The experimental group was prescribed a low calorie diet of (20% protein, 30 -35% fat, and 40-45% carbohydrates). This equated to between 1300-1500 calories, and subjects consumed carbohydrates mostly at dinner.
The control group consumed a similar diet, except that their carbohydrate intake was spread out throughout the day.
What were the results over the next 6 months?
Common belief would say that the carbs at night group would lose less fat compared to the group that ate carbs earlier in the day. But nope – that’s not what happened at all.
The carbs at night group lost more weight (-25 lbs vs. -19 lbs) and body fat (-7% vs. -5%) and also experienced reduction in weight circumference.
Like I said earlier… I’m not a doctor or scientist but I know a good thing when I see it. And the proof that the Big Dinner Diet method works is irrefutable, best of all it’s based on common sense and the test subjects used were all human (JUST LIKE YOU) and not mice in a controlled lab study.
